Caldane Beach on Giglio Island
Caldane Beach is a wonderful small cove, never too crowded and ideal for relaxing. Located on the south-eastern coast of the island and framed by lush Mediterranean vegetation, it overlooks a stunning, crystal-clear turquoise sea. With gently sloping seabeds rich in posidonia, it is a paradise for swimming and snorkeling lovers. The beach can be reached by land: about 20 minutes from the nearby Cannelle Beach via a path that is not always easy, crossing the Mediterranean scrub along cliffs above the sea and offering beautiful panoramic views. By sea, for those without their own boat, there is an efficient local boat service. The beach, with its golden granite sand, is partly free and partly equipped with beach establishments.
